Piper the ballerina

Since coming to Pampa Ive been surrounded by people – some were merely curious, some were transient, and some have taken root in my life to the extent that I don’t remember a time I did not have them to laugh with, cry with or rant with but all of them have been warm, friendly, and welcoming. Miss P’s mom is one of those people who has grown on me, taken root in my heart and become a part of my life I cant imagine being without. We plot murder, laugh over my trips to walmart and compare deodorant and recipes for brownies. Thank God for friends.

Sweet Miss P turns four in a few weeks, and Im honored to have been able to capture these last few days of being three.

Valentine’s

That time of year again, I love and hate it but these two are so excited by it. Jess needed valentines for school, so we put our heads together and this is what she came up with – Im amazed at her creativity and confidence. Maybe growing up in front of a camera wont scar her after all.

Not to be left out, Carmen turned on the charm in her Christmas dress that she was too sick to wear at at the time.

Fall and a Family Portrait…

I went and had photographs taken when my youngest was born in the hopes of having a family portrait to share with those we loved, and commemorate the growth of our family from 3 to 4. Alas the images I was given were not something I want to look at again never mind share. I shed my tears and moved on… Almost two years and another continent later we still did not have a single picture of the 4 of us… till now. Thanks to my tripod and remote trigger I’m now stalking the UPS man for the Canvas I’ve chosen to hang in pride-of-place in our living room. Those of you close to me know our little family is plagued by health issues and have developed a “live it now” attitude to life and still I put this off in the hope of losing weight, looking less tired, better weather – tomorrow. If I could say one thing to the moms out there it would be “don’t wait” and “do it NOW”, you never know what tomorrow may bring and it’ll be too late, today will be yesterday and so easily forgotten…

Little Red is blonde…

I took Jessca to the park right after dress up time – change why? If I could wear ball gowns to the office, my daughter can play out fairytales in the park! I think she made a very cute Red riding hood…
